Mother’s Day with Vahan Jewelry
My Greatest Blessing
A few months ago I had a genuine pinch-me moment... I was driving to Richmond to visit my daughter Rebecca when I got a call from VAHAN Jewelry. We had worked together over the holidays and they wanted to continue our relationship by including me and my daughters in their Mother's Day campaign. The idea was to send a photographer and videographer to our home for a full brand photoshoot and I nearly ran off the road I was so excited. I said yes immediately, and then got straight on the phone to make sure my daughters could be there.
Sarah, my youngest, and Lauren, my oldest, were both able to make it work...but sadly Rebecca couldn't be there, and we missed her more than I can say. Still, it was one of the most fun days I can remember…a full day of shooting with multiple outfit changes, each one styled with the most gorgeous VAHAN pieces to complement every look. The team they sent couldn't have been lovelier to work with, and by the end of the day we were exhausted in the best possible way. Even now I have moments where I can't quite believe this was my actual life...and I'm so grateful!
Spending that day with the VAHAN team only deepened my love for the brand... and that's saying something, because I was already devoted. Getting to meet the people behind the business made it feel even more personal, and then there were the jewels themselves…piece after piece that I never wanted to take off. Every single thing I put on became my new favorite, and I genuinely could not have chosen just one if someone had asked me to. I think Lauren and Sarah would say exactly the same thing.
The best part of the whole day, without question, was getting to work with my daughters. I've said it before and I mean it every time...they are my best friends. They keep me young, they keep me current, and they are not afraid to call me out when I need it. I am so proud of the women they have become…genuinely excellent humans and wonderful mothers, each one of them. Having five grandchildren is a blessing I could never find the right words for, except to say that watching my daughters love and care for their babies is the most beautiful thing I've ever witnessed. Mother's Day has taken on a whole new meaning as the girls have gotten older... and this year, after a day like the one we had with VAHAN, it means more than ever. I am blessed beyond words and more grateful than I can describe!
I have a small but growing collection of Vahan jewelry and these pieces are truly among my most prized possessions... not saved-for-special, but worn constantly and with everything. There is something about a piece of VAHAN jewelry that elevates everything you wear it with — a white tee, a cocktail dress, a pair of gingham silk taffeta pants on a spring evening. And having seen so much of the collection in person now, my wishlist has gotten considerably longer. Baldy is getting the hint whether he's ready for it or not, and I have a feeling Lauren and Sarah are in exactly the same position with their own lists. For anyone wondering where to begin to start a collection for your daughter, this bracelet is gorgeous and works well as part of a stack when you add more to the collection! If you really want to start off with a statement, you can’t go wrong with this fabulous ring…and there in honestly nothing wrong with buying for yourself!
VAHAN Jewelry is meant to be collected, meant to be passed down, and most importantly meant to be worn — not stored away waiting for the right occasion. The range is wider than people realize too... from pieces with a more bohemian, layered feel to things that are genuinely extravagant, there truly is something for every woman at every age and every stage. If you've been waiting for a reason to start your own VAHAN collection, Mother's Day is as good a reason as any!
VAHAN Jewelry has been part of the most meaningful moments in my life lately…a brand partnership that turned into a real relationship, a day spent with my daughters that I won't forget, and jewelry I reach for every single day. Be sure to take a look at my page on the VAHAN website to see all my favorites from this shoot and more!
I’m so grateful for this opportunity to work with VAHAN and have this special experience with my daughters!
Thank you so much for reading today!
